Tuolumne Clouds

Tuolumne Meadows is the finest cloud-watching place I have ever found.  It is, quite literally, a place where clouds are born during the summer and fall.  They form  over the eastern Sierra crest (in the distance in this photo), and move over the meadows, growing and merging with other clouds as they march west-southwest toward Yosemite Valley, where they bring afternoon thundershowers.
