Surf Moss
There are not many beaches along the 70-mile Big Sur Coast; in most places, a scramble down the cliffs leads to a surf-smashed rocky shore. Sometimes a rock is sheltered enough from the pounding surf, and yet wetted enough each day, so that moss can make a home -- with a permanent wet-hair look.
